2011 Institute of Videography Awards – 1st place Best Wedding Day Film & Winner of Best Overall Production

I am extremely thrilled to announce being awarded first place for “Best Wedding Day Film” 2011 at the Institute of Videography annual awards dinner, held on the 19th of October at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. The standard of entries from talented IOV members throughout the UK gets higher every year and to win the top spot in the wedding category is a massive honour and privilege!

As if this wasn’t enough, I was stunned to also win the award for “Best Overall Production”. This was an incredible surprise, considering the exceptionally high standard of entries across the other categories: “Best Corporate Video”, “Best Documentary”, “Best Music Video” and “Best Short Film/ Open”. institute of videography awards

A huge thank you to Sony Professional UK and Vinten for sponsoring the “Best Overall Production” award with the most generous and fantastic prizes: a Sony NEX-FS100 camera and a Vinten Vision Blue tripod. I am extremely humbled and overwhelmed to receive such desirable and valuable pieces of kit. Both will be put to good use and I am extremely grateful.

Thank you so much for all the good wishes and amazing feedback from fellow IOV members both local and throughout the UK, many who have become good friends over the years. Thank you also to the IOV Executive for making this possible and their good wishes. Thank you to Jack Millington for being such a keen assistant and second shooter on this film. Final thanks to Sharon for her love and support, putting up with my long hours and being there on the night to share such an incredible and memorable occasion.
